hot cherry
Hot Cherry was originally conceived at the turn of the millenium by three visual artists working within Bristol's infamous Cube Cinema. Producing monthly programmes, posters and flyers for the arthouse "microplex", they began to design CD sleeves for local record labels and ran a number of successful club nights. When the team split to persue their own projects, Mark Berry carried the company baton, turning Hot Cherry into a multi-media empire by branching into journalism and publishing.
Mark earned his photographic wings in sweaty clubs and grassy fields across the country, capturing world-class acts such as Alanis Morrisette, REM, Coldplay, The White Stripes and Kings Of Leon, spending many a night under a Glastonbury moon.
In recent years, Mark has carved himself a niche as a writer and photographer. In an industry of time restraints, being both scribe and snapper has given him the rare opportunity of creating a much stronger relationship with his subjects even with short interview situations. Mark now specialises in producing articles and features for a variety of national and international publications including Bizarre, SFX, Classic Rock and Total DVD.
